Founded in 1945 in the Ivano city, one of the beautiful cities of Ukraine, Ivano-Frankivsk State Medical University is one of the oldest and leading medical universities in the North-West of Ukraine.
With more than 70 years of establishment, Ivano-Frankivsk State Medical University is now named as Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. It is one of the very few medical universities in Ukraine to be honored as the "National Medical University" by the Government of Ukraine.
In the year 1994, the university is conferred with Level 4 Accreditation by the State Accreditation Committee of Ukraine. It is the highest level of accreditation in Ukraine.
Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University offers MBBS in Ukraine in the English language as well.
The university is duly approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and other global recognitions. The degree awarded to the medical students by Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University (IFNMU), after completing their MBBS in Ukraine, is highly recognized. Graduate students who seek to practice in India must appear for the Medical Council of India Screening Test (MCI Screening Test)/FMGE exam. IFNMU provides an opportunity for the graduate students to practice in 150 countries of the world subject to clearing the country-specific Medical Licensing Examination.
The university provides various other programs for the enrolled students at the university. Students are encouraged to participate in various conferences, seminars, research programs organized at the university or even outside the university campus.

Students at the university get exposure to practical activities from their first year of the MBBS program in Ukraine. About 12 hospitals and clinics are associated with the university for the practical training of the students. At these hospitals, students get their hands-on training regularly under the guidance of their professors to improve their academic life.
University's library is equipped with high technology. It is filled with new educational and scientific literatures. IFNMU has 3 libraries. One of the libraries is dedicated to its regional medicine. More than 800,000 collections of books, journals, study materials are available. Every year, the university brings in about 20,000 new collections of books. It has one of the best and biggest libraries with various collections of study materials.
In 2009, Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University Library received the II-degree diploma prize of All-Ukrainian contest "Library of the Year 2009".
IFNMU is a member of many international organizations. One of the organizations is the International Association of Universities.
Every year, about 5000 international students of almost 40 countries of the world are studying at the university. These countries include the USA, Western Europe, Australia, all regions of Africa and Asia. Since its establishment, more than 17,000 students have graduated from Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University.
More than 400 highly qualified professors are teaching at the university. Some of the qualified professors, are Ph.D. holders, some are pursuing their Ph.D. at the university, and Academicians. From time to time, the university also welcomes international lecturers to deliver their lectures to the students. In this way, students get the opportunity to have a world-class learning experience.

Eligibility
To get admission to the MBBS Program of Ivano-Frankivsk State Medical University, the student must qualify NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate).
Besides NEET-UG, there is no requirement to go through any additional entrance examination.

Ukraine Education facilitates the admission to the MBBS program of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University with no additional payment or capitation. Once the candidate clears the NEET entrance examination, they can apply for the MBBS program in Ukraine.
Student Life
Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University offers excellent accommodation to the students. There are three hostels available at the university campus with a capacity of more than 2000 students.
These hostels are fully furnished. The hostel rooms can even be considered as an apartment. They are equipped with all the necessary facilities, such as the central cooling and heating system, laundry facility, free Wi-Fi access, mess, and other facilities to create a comfortable stay for the students. On every floor, there's a common kitchen for the students.
To create a home away from home for the Indian students, the university has an Indian mess facility at the campus.
Besides these facilities, the university also provides a gym cum recreation center, reading halls, sports rooms, stadium, and health center.
Students who are fitness fanatic can join the gym at the campus. For students who are fond of table tennis, table tennis table is also available.
To break the cultural barriers among the students, the university's management formed a cultural community for the students to get familiar with each other's culture and traditions. The university organizes various cultural programs and encouraged the students to participate, and also to display their own cultural activities.
